I’m Eden, and I want to share a real bridesmaid experience—one that became a personal revolution, breaking free from constraints and embracing liberation. It was my sister’s wedding, and I wore a pink strapless dress, only to find myself trapped in the underwire of a strapless bra and the tyranny of clear straps. Two hours before the ceremony, sweat-soaked straps dug red marks into my collarbone, leaving me frantically securing them with safety pins in the fitting room. Then, as the couple shared their kiss, the crisscross ties on my back suddenly snapped, metal hooks stabbing into my skin. To this day, I can’t bring myself to look at the photo where I’m hunched over, desperately clutching my chest.
In that moment, it hit me: When underwear becomes torture, who are we really wearing it for? We deserve armor that sets us free. Little did I know that this awkward, painful experience would spark the idea for Umi Nipple Covers—and now, right before your eyes, stands the girl who, despite the red marks from those straps, chose freedom.
How it Began
The Birth of Umi Nipple Covers
For years, I endured underwires digging into my ribs, adhesive covers causing rashes, and “invisible” straps betraying me at the gym and beach getaways. We’ve all muttered in fitting rooms: “Why does something meant to empower us feel like a shackle?”
So I made a radical decision: “to break up with traditional bras for good.”
Over the past two years, I tested nearly every nipple cover on the market. I peeled off 168 pairs of substandard adhesives—petals that curled during yoga, “invisible” tapes that failed mid-meeting, thick silicone pads that made my breasts ache. They were either flimsy sheets that wrinkled under pressure or left awkward outlines under silk, while the “heavy-duty” ones felt like duct tape slapped on skin.

How it Began
The idea struck in 2025
For a year, I engineered them like a medical device. When medical-grade silicone revealed a “honeycomb breathable structure” under the microscope, I knew we had cracked the code—no more suffocating adhesives.
